Great shot! My advice for shooting on the street is to get a faster, wider lens- a 35 F2 would be great, and then just keep shooting. You already have a good eye!

You got a nice shadow here. I'd try to cut out the shadow from the lamppost. Good work. Great contrast in the B/W.
