John...You've outdone yourself here. Definitely the best of your work. I've been on a few of these safari's they have (mostly the "Arizona Highways" reccommended ones) but this shot of Death Valley is fantastic. Gotta get out to the "dunes" in Jan or Feb when the winds have really kicked up and left those wonderful ripples in the sand. Would like to see more info in your bio. Bella

Suzanne - The are not skiers. They are photographers. They were part of a club of 20 people who went to Death Valley for 4 days to take photographs. Some people do 'ski' sand dunes but not in death valley and I don't know how they do it? Special wax?

Hey John! Thanks for the comments. This one is great! (Not that your others aren't also great!)
The people are the perfect touch here. Without them, the sense of scale would be totally lost. Awesome!

Very beautiful photo. Great lighting. The texture of the sand waves is very well rendered. The skiers in the background add life to a "deserted" land. But how do they do to glide on sand? I have never seen that before. Very original concept. Please excuse my bad english since it is not my "mother tongue". Is it the way you say it? plus it is late in the evening and I am not at my best when tired a bit! :))
