Hi Vicki,
This is a nice sharp shot, it's great that each petal layer is clear and the subtle edges between them are not lost. I find the head-on composition slightly "disturbing" for some reason though I'd have a hard time describing why. Perhaps it's a result of not being able to see the stem or where the flower comes from, or perhaps just an effect of the symmetry. It's quite a striking shot for this reason.
