Elangovan, really well done with that tiny foot fitting so perfectly between finger and thumb. Well seen. I like the tonal difference too and it probably wouldn't have worked so well in colour.
If your ethics are up to it, ;o) and you think the background could be enhanced, you could always tone down the top left area. But it has good impact just as it is.

Elangovan, very nice. I also agree with the others that the background has to go. And also the little finger thats peaking out on the right side is a little distracting for me. You posted a comment on my shot and wanted to know how I removed the background. I did it really easy and quickly by placing a black t-shirt in front of the baby and the parents shoulders. I also wanted to ask you about the (NYIP) courses that you are taking and see what you thought about them?

Very intresting shot, the background is a bit distacting though, and the center of foucus is clearly aimed at the center of the photo where it could provoke more intrigue at the that right or left, using the three thirds rule. But you seem to have a very good at capturing what cachts the eye.

Hi max,
Hmmm... where is she... I was so focused on her foot I dont know where are other parts. This was a macro shot so, the camera was that close to the leg. The other leg(!) is on the top-left side and rest of her body is not in the frame.
Thanks. Elangs.

this is beautiful... the background is a bit distracting, but the overall creativity of this shot more than makes up for it. the tones are beautiful as well. lovely shot.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions guys.
Barry, changing the background is a good option, but then you know, I took this picture when she was 3 months old, now, she is almost a year old. At that time I did not have much stuffs to play around. hmmm... I guess, I will have to wait for another opportunity... :-).

Wonderful photo. Agree that it is very strong. Immediately brings out emotions. Garnered quite a few ohs and ahs. I imagine there will be many people trying to replicate this shot.

This picture is strong really. Pity that quite unsharp, maybe try to add more sharpness in Photoshop.
