Very nice picture ,in the right momment.You see, you like my picture I like yours ,where is the difference? Educated people can handle difference where it exist and be in good agreement where it is.Like we do !

Regarding the sharpness of the background, I purposely shot a shallow DOF in this shot; with the protraction of the scene created by the long telephoto (420mm equiv.), the slightly blurry background lends more depth to the scene, showing what's ahead for the descending cormorant.

I agree with most of Leslie's comments, the real problem is getting the Cormorant to cooperate though. Nice Photo!!

Hi John, these guys are a kick to watch...coming, going or just drying their wings...I think you could lose a slice off the bottom and maybe just a bit more contrast...while I enjoy the picture, I think just a bit to the right or left to capture part of the face and head would be better...also just a bit sharper to pick up some detail in the background
