Very nice picture ,in the right momment.You see, you like my picture I like yours ,where is the difference? Educated people can handle difference where it exist and be in good agreement where it is.Like we do ! Regards jorge

Regarding the sharpness of the background, I purposely shot a shallow DOF in this shot; with the protraction of the scene created by the long telephoto (420mm equiv.), the slightly blurry background lends more depth to the scene, showing what's ahead for the descending cormorant.

Hi John, these guys are a kick to watch...coming, going or just drying their wings...I think you could lose a slice off the bottom and maybe just a bit more contrast...while I enjoy the picture, I think just a bit to the right or left to capture part of the face and head would be better...also just a bit sharper to pick up some detail in the background
