About	Mahabalipuram, Madras, India. This is an amazing place. The monolithic stone carvings are just wonderful. It will catch you by surprise. The carvings are mostly on sigle rock(monolithic) crafted in 7th century AD by Pallava kings dianasty. The carvings depict the hindu epic Bibel Mahabarta. This is a story of 5 crown princes being cheated and usrruped by their cousins out of power. God comes down to earth in human form-Lord Krishna, and helps the brothers to regain power. Actualy god will serve as chariet driver for the brothers in the final battle. A Facinating moral fable. By the way according to the story - 5 brothers married the same women 5 times over!!!!!

A noteworthy image of some very fine artwork that IMHO deserved to be a little sharper or perhaps have just a bit more contrast. I do not have Chandra Roy translation and have to be satisfied with Richard Bach and Jean Claude Carriere works on the Mahabharata.
