About Seven of these little guys have shown up in our little garden pond. This one is the aspiring model of the bunch. As soon as I stepped outside with my camera, it jumped up on a quartz rock and posed until I got my photo. Hey Jeff, what sort of frog is this?

Very good capture, John. It's a rare opportunity when these creatures stay put long enough to have their photo taken, and you have used this opportunity well.

I like the eye-to-eye angle of view - it allowed for that coloured background which is in nice contrast with the eyes and the rock, and more importantly, it gave the frog a distinct air of personality. As for the composition, my only objection is that the frog's finger is touching the edge of the photo, but it is a minor thing. I would have preferred a slightly deeper DOF to get the nose and front legs in focus.

Thank you for your comments. I'd just like to point out that it is not me in my 'Matej' pic, it is my neighbour; we have the same name. You can see me (to some extent, anyway) here http://www.usefilm.com/showphoto.php?id=116830.

Man o man how i wish i could get one of these lil guys to cooperate like this, and with such a great background to boot, love the shallow focus and blurr, but as you expect already im sure, i do really think having his shnoz sharp too would fit the bill, great shot~

Another stunner. Love the bg colours and the bulging eyes. Is it your colonge that makes these animals your slaves? *grin*
I have a question about the borders you use... how do you get the drop shadow border? I have been trying to create some borders for my images, but with no luck. I would appreciate any help you could give me... kimbalina@hotmail.com
Thanks!
