Good call Eric. I noticed that about the focus too. I took about 30 shots of this catapiller and all of the ones that I liked the composition of had the focus off a little because this guy was moving around quite a bit. This was the best one of the bunch but I know I can do better though. That's why I love photography because I am a perfectionist and I know that I can always do better. I like a lot of feedback on my work though because I feel that I am my own hardest critic and I other peoples opinions show the true caliber of my work. I'm all about brutal honesty. I'm surprised that you are the first person to notice or at least mention that. I have posted this on a couple sites and had about two dozen people comment on it and everyone failed to mention the focus.

Like the colors. Love the shot... but it looks as if the plane of focus is just a "bit" behind the face of the 'pillar.
