My Sony Cybershot is digital. I do not scan my photos from this camera, I just download them directly to my computer. If I need to, I can have a deeper depth of field.
My intent of this photo was to show the contrast between the whole overall softness of the rose against the uniform order of the corolla petals. Personally, I think it is harder to attain the unfocused look for a soft photo on a digital camara. So, I guess I achieved my goal somewhat since the softness is what you noticed.

I like the idea and color of the rose, but it seems to be a little too soft in the focus. Maybe just the scan. Maybe use a deeper depth of field. But I dont know if you can do that on your camera. Keep it up.
