Another BW pict,as always , trying to find correct adjustment to light. I have taken many shots of this boy. Sometimes he changes the color of his hairs and result is very good. He works as an electrician and is my neighbour.
Thanks, Jeff and Katia. I like to have those results adding more light to right or left side of model. It makes the pict diferent from a pict for a document, for example. Above pict , if it hadn?t that strong light at right side, it would look like an identity photo. and that is not what I want. But to control light at studio has been difucult to tome. I have 4 strobes and I use just one because when I use more than one the result is not good. Same direction of light I used with this boy at a nude photo (not front nor back. just side) and result was very good, but it is not allowed photo like this here. So, I am trying to have a better control of light. Jeff?s last pict of Lil Bud was wonderful with the light.
you have a big range of characteristic faces to capture with your camera! There is just one thing that disturbs me a bit: the strenght of the light you chose. I feel it is too cold and direct on the right part of the portrait, it produces a flat effect, especially compared with the richness of detail in the other part. But maybe that was your purpose. I find it a classical portrait, even if the dark backgroud gives someting more artistic.
