Actually, the suggestions about polarizing filters make a hell of a lot of sense. I live in the boondocks of Thailand, so step-down adaptors are out of the question, but I've got tons of different filters, and maybe good ole' tape can do the job. Stay tuned.

Whoa. That is one nasty looking toad. =) Perfect depth of field... really accentuates its nastiness. =) Good composition too. I like how it looks like it's staring you down. =)

That's a really nice toad shot. He's got that "Don't touch me" kind of color. Great photos David! I enjoy seeing shots like yours over the artsy stuff a lot of people do. It looks like you and your family have a lot of fun and that's whats really matters. I agree about maybe a polarizer to cut some glare but can you put one on a Coolpix 4500? Regards!

Neat frog. His color is a little lost on his back with the glare. Maybe a different angle or a polarizing filter would make details on his back a little more clear. I've definitely never seen a toad like this, but then again...I've never been to Thailand! Thanks for sharing!
