I dont understand why some shots dont seem to get any attention when they are a nice shot like this one.

You have obviously cropped the shot down from a larger original The only thing that I would have done before the final crop is to use Photoshop the Transform -> perspective tool to adjust the perspective to remove the section of wall in the bottom left corner and try and crop along the right angle of the flat ceiling area.

Other that that little niggle I think that you managed to capture a great tonal range and it shows with the 3 dimensional presentation of the dome. Great Shot
