Amazingly good composition, conveying the mood of the lazy summer day. The faces are so expressive. The lighting and the dark sephia tone are also excellent. It seems to me, though, that the picture doesn't need the texture. I dare to suggest that you post a version without the texture. Everything is so perfect that the texture only introduces a distruction.

It seems as if the exposure was for hours-- every one is bored and tired (of posing!) Well thought and excuted.

Family portrait seen through Shelby's own wonderfully warped sensibility. Quirky and endearing.

This is wonderful Shelby. So peaceful. The composition is perfect leading the eye from the father(?) half asleep, to the boy(not interested in posing) and the girl ( who finds a suitable pose) I like the detail with the white plastic chair (those seem to be global) and the old chair. The plant in the background is a delicate detail too. Well, I certainly don?t want to destroy the feeling of this great photo with a lot of words... So, I now will sit back too and enjoy it. A favourite.
