Very good capture of a street moment.
Good rainy atmosphere, very natural.

This IS wonderful -- and wonderful that you had the good eye to include it in such a nice scene. Love the couple with the unbrella. I don't think I'd crop the left, but a touch of blur might be nice -- the van does tend to want to steal the show. Ah, for the days before automobiles -- at least when you're photographing!

I love your street shots Patricia. This is no exception. I agree, the van on the left is a little distracting, but not a big problem for me. My concentration immediately went to the bottom of the tree. As a matter of fact, I didn't notice the van until I read comments. So, I guess I fibbed. I din't want to type this over again. lol Do you shoot in B&W, or change a color shot in PS. My camera set to B&W looks gray.

I like this alot Patricia. My only suggestion would be to crop out the left side that shows the van, it is slightly distracting. But I love the line of the trees, the people walking and of course the smiling cat. Nice capture.

Another of your "very interesting" street photos. The mask or art work in the foreground tree is really well placed in a "street" context. I like it, but at 1st glance sort of wanted to crop out the left side, but your cropping is right for the sake of balance. Thanks for your comments on my "best photograph"-- the original was taken in 1972!-- and one of those pics that really helped turn me on to photography.

Ah Paris... someday. Just knowing that this was taken in Paris adds to its cachet. And, I think all Paris shots should be b/w, but I'm a hopeless romantic. Nice perspective, I want to follow the couple out of the scene. Thanks for your offer of advice on setting up a darkroom. I've stored your email address in my address book and will definitely pick your brain when I pick my spot. I especially want to ask your advice on enlargers.

You did quite well to see the potential of this scene. The patch in the tree trunk is wonderful, and then their is the wet sidewalk....
