not many people would show half a building, how to go. A later time in the day would have given more dramatic shadows. I have just ordered an Heliopan circular polarizer from Germany myself as I think one here would have been great. Overall it is a relaxing, excellent shot. I have a Sony f series camera too, it is quite amazing how detailed they can be. I like your web site too (could not find the guestbook), being a Canadian myself and thanks for commenting on my photo Irish Toomb travellers. regards Steve, stephen.dunn(no spam)@rogers.com

Carol: I like this shot. I was wondering if you'd played with a polarizing filter, which might give your background sky some needed blue?

Carol, a neat old barn, well done. Looks like if you'd huffed a little it would have come tumbling down!
LOL on your hubby's words. I have the same feeling on my back road jaunts! I go alone and when I hear some vehicle coming I run like hell for my van and lock the doors, once I didn't and this 'Deliverence' kinda guy drove up, stopped in his old pickup and asked...'takin' pitchers?' He took a while to decide to leave, I sweated that one out a bit. ;)

Carol, this is lovely. The colors are so vivid. I really like the composition here with good forground. I am not sure if it was worth risking your life for, but great image!

Carol - This is pretty funny. I posted a picture of some Maryland barns right after this picture of yours. I'm glad you didn't get "lead poisoning."
I like this. Were you able to get some close-up "texture" shots - that weathered wood looks like it could be interesting.
