About This resulted from a mistake by me in the processing stage of the film. I'm actually very happy with the results.

You couldn't have asked for a better 'mistake'. It really sets off the subject in an interesting way. Cold... lonely... separate.

Don't you love when that happens? I believe that beauty reveals its self to us. I always feel incredibly lucky when I take a good shot because, for some reason, this wonderful moment in time presented its self to me. You were certainly blessed here! Also took a look at your portfolio...all wonderful work. Noticed you are from Minneapolis...I am from near La Cross, Wis.

Again...great work.

i agree with Arthur, whenever you have a wonderful serendipitous gift from the gods, aka, a cool mistake, simply say to yourself "thank you, oh ye gods of photography" and march forward with that image as if you were the brilliant photographer you seem. And the reason is that you ARE the brilliant photographer you seem because you knew enough to recognize the artistry of the image. If you capture a bird in flight, would you say, "i made a mistake of clicking the shutter just as the bird dove into the ocean?" hahaha...'course not! Same here. This came from your work, your efforts, even if not totally from your technical control of conditions. But you knew art when you saw it and so does the editor...congrats on your Editor's choice, very very well deserved! i love it!!! best regards: kat~

Somehow this one slipped by me. That's why I miss the 4 or 5 random thumbnails on the left of the screen. Good little surprises like this one show up.

This is really very good. Great interest, composition and mood.

Nice work.

Never admit to a mistake...always say you planned it that way! This caught my eye right away as very creative. This works well for me. Nice job!

Did the paper (other than the white strip) get a quick exposure to light when taken from the box? hehehe

Yeah, Nice!!

Elizabeth... like I said before... a very happy mistake... I really like the look and the feel to this. Hopefully you wrote down what you did wrong so that you can repeat it later :)

And so you should be happy with the results... this is creative and visually interesting! The grain really adds to the cold, lost feeling, and the waves crashing into the shore are a perfect touch. I like the layout, with the different layers.... pulls you right into the image. Great work!
