About So while I was out taking pictures of Christmas lights on the evening of the 22nd I noticed a jet stream in the sky. My first thought was that it was a military jet but as soon as I saw something break away from it, I knew it wasn't that. After taking a few pictures I turned on the local 24 hr news channel and found out it was Falcon 9 rocket mfg by Space X that had been launched at Vandenberg AFB, which is about a 3 hr drive north of me.
