I agree with Stephen Laszlo, this is very good. i wish it were a bit more brighter and the sky a bit more blue.

Tried panning a moving aircraft on a tripod. Might have been the crappy tripod or lack of practice but the results were less than stellar (read, total loss unless you like Van Gogh photography).

Marc,
As you can see from the stripes that are supposed to be runwaylights, the panning was not purely horizontal, the panning took place to the upper left. Using a tripod in this situation would have been unhandy, not enough control over your movement. When panning purely horizontally, it could help out though.
