June 2, 2002. The Mississippi River Bridge at Lansing, IA to Desoto, WI on a rainy, foggy afternoon. Taken from Mt. Hosmer Park. It's the main channel of the river, and one of the older Miss. bridges in the area. There's been talk of removing it, because it needs big repairs, could be replaced, but is in a low traffic area. But, its removal would mean no crossing of the Mississippi for like 50 miles. Strange to think of such a restriction on travel today, huh?
Brilliant, wet greens, with a neat little focal point in the background. I like the depth of field, though the fog makes it feel a little out of focus.
