In the cabin is a motor driven vacuum pomp producing only vacuum. So it cant be used as a sprayer.

PS: I thought it looked like a pesticide sprayer too (like Tim). Is it possible it served as both a sprayer and a milking machine? :)

I don't remember ever seeing one of these beauties. I remember people milking cows by hand and then the big milking sheds. This contraption looks like it might have preceded milking sheds.
Your brother looks like he finds the machine interesting.
