Almax, I appreciate your critique. We all realize of course, that not every photo will please every viewer. What one viewer finds "distracting", another might see as "interesting" - or not. The "human" element for me, was chosen consciously for the effect of scale, and to place an abstraction within a social context. In the end, it is just a photo, but thanks for taking the time to think about it.
Michael, I really like this shot, the colors, shapes and quality of the brick and the screened window, and the three pipes pulling it all together; but I find the right side a little distracting. Perhaps cropping at the line on street by the right wall would have made it a little stronger--just a suggestion-still a great shot though
