Buddhist Lama spinning the prayer wheels in Khechipori Lake in Sikim India. Buddhists believe that saying the mantra (prayer), Om Mani Padme Hum, out loud or silently to oneself, invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings. Spinning the written form of the mantra around in a Mani wheel (or prayer wheel) is also believed to give the same benefit as saying the mantra.
Colourful shot of an interesting subject. The outside seems to be a little washed out.You could have used a flash to balance the light or cropped out the part above the green bar.Another small gripe is that the heads of the lamas sticking above and through the frame are a little distracting, though how u could have avoided that I'm not sure, maybe by waiting for the last lama in the line to spin the drums.A good capture nonetheless.
