About	Most temples and shrines in Japan allow you to write prayers on wooden tablets and hang them prominently. One of these young women was busy writing her prayer, the other was photographing them. The unreal looking temple in the distance IS unreal: it is a life-size painting of the temple on the canvas that hides the work of restoration currently being performed! Just so that you know what it WOULD look like IF you could see it...

Thanks, Gary! You should visit Japan... you'd obviously enjoy it. My lens is a bit selective--there are quite a few bits that are less attractive--but overall it's a fascinating place.
