Taken in my backyard on a hot swampy afternoon this past weekend. I was playing around with my new camera and a Hoya R72 infrared filter. I was enthralled with how oak tree reflections in my pool were so vivid in infrared (versus a regular color shot).
Awesome subject and composition, it really lends itself to the IR. Just a bit dark for me: I don't think you lose much of the eerie feeling by brightening up a little, but you get a lot more detail out of the shadows, particularly in the reflections. You might give that a look. Brightening it up actually cools it off, since it appears more like snow. Cool photo, definitely worth playing with. The balance is splended.
