ahh OK Bill Newton.. what am I doing photographing this roadside rest area from the Remembrance Driveway site.. well my old dad was on ground crew and flew with Newton in (dads) early part of RAAF service prior to being posted to 76 Squadron RAF in Britain in WWII... Dad described him as a somewhat cavalier sort of bloke but a great pilot... so every time we head on down to Canberra or Thredbo..
