Yes, you're right, I agree with you Tony. I'll definitely check out your Southbank images. Many thanks for taking the time to provide helpful critique. I'm afraid you won't like my next one either - just realised now that I have posted it that the 'knot' is not in sharp focus - which I had thought it was! This would have been better if just the top part of the metal bar had been really sharply in focus.I really like shots like this with a very narrow DOF-shooting at 1.7 and focusing on something very close to the camera.You'll see what I mean if you look at my photos of South Bank in London which were only possible because of the atrocious weather!!I bought a neutral density filter as soon as i got back to sunny Spain!!
