About Optional : If you have 1 more minute please read the following:

Unfortunately I was unprepared in capturing a sudden spontaneous moment, when I saw this happening yesterday at the bank of the Seine river.
Film speed critical high at 2000 ASA in daylight, bye bye resolution and welcome to the noise :-)

High Aperture of 16, (low DOF) however would give prospect for a fortune combination of both capturing the kids as well as recording the subtle textures and divine crossing patterns of the pavement.

The pronounced red, blue contrast with subtle grey scales at the background just a lucky coincidence. However with highlighting the amazing patterns I also lost the colour contrast, so then I was preferring the weaker background with the passionate joy as dominant theme.
Somewhere hard to decide loosing part of the beauty of the pavement... so I posted the better background contrasting version below as well to show what I mean. It is simply the darkened version over a larger area.

At least capturing the spontaneous expression of passionate joy was my greatest pleasure and how the technical side had to be solved ? .... maybe that did not matter so much as experiencing the same passionate joy of seizing the very short moment.
The latter is dominant in my work : the passionate joy experiencing the instant moment. On a second plan, but not unimportant too, are the visible formats, the displays of an invisible world.

It's a good shot. You could take advantage of the noise, convert to BW and add a touch of film-type grain to disguise it, then tweak the levels. It might work.
