Thank you for your kind words dear Srna,
You already could imagine how it was all around the church, but check with this attachment if it corresponds to your idea :-) I shot this one with the church backwards. How it was "within" the church? Imagine: Warm, full of atmosphere getting back to the 12th century enabling to pick up hopes, spirits, examples of many souls before us.

beautiful snow landscapes over here in Norway. Sometimes details show up like yesterday I saw this on my way, driving from high-up in the mountains downwards back to the airport.
Canada in winter time I am curious about your last impressions at these "high" altitudes and latitudes,

Yesterday Sunday afternoon, before reaching the airport, I was driving through fairytale landscapes. Winter tires sure.. a great invention.
This old stave church was packed in ice with a thick snow carpet around. It was worth a visit...

Woooow !!! Wat een winterplaat Paul,ik ga het niet hebben over de kou. Want vooralsnog, heb ik er geen last van.
Dat mijn tenen er bijna vanaf vriezen als ik ook maar één seconde buiten ben.
Of dat ik ijspegels aan mijn neus heb hangen..
Elke morgen als ik in de auto stap, zonder te hoeven krabben, zet ik de verwarming lekker hoog en rij ik vanuit de parkeergarage het koude weer in. De ene helft van de mensen zit helemaal ingepakt op de fiets. Wolkjes blazend en rillend vinden ze hun weg naar hun werk of naar school.
De andere helft staat de autoruiten nog te krabben en ondertussen kijken ze op hun horloge of ze niet veel te laat op hun werk komen. Mijn haar is super statisch door dat koude weer en de verwarming in de auto die op de heetste stand staat. In mijn tas heb ik een potje wax gestopt om mijn wilde haren in bedwang te krijgen mocht het nodig zijn....;) Groet,Riny
