Well, now you brought such a good example for the simplicity, Avi! It is exatly this why a good whisky is... simple. It is a single malt and a single water form some local springs, and you have a taste of the palce. And it doesn't even try to pretend to be sometihing else that what it is. And this is great!
Not all simple has to be necessarily ingenious, but surely all ingenious is necessarily simple.

Well, Avi, since the other two ones got their well deserved awards, I will try my best for "influencing" the people at UF for another award for this one. Simply because it is the simple and elegant version of what... Gustavo tries to do by overloading images with his typical "in your face" attitude. But here the simple subject absorbs witghout screaming "look at me!" The good contrast and details remain in tasteful levels and especially the contrast, which gies back to the colors as you say, is both awakening but also not setting me "under pressure" at all. Add the nicely taken contours, not exagerrated and not weak, and so we have something simple and much more contemplative too than all that overload of "explicitly screamed out emotions", for sure!
Such a good and simple work... reminds me again of the dribbling of Zizou... You know, maybe somebody like Ronaldinho was running and doing this and that, and then... there came Zizou and passed them all by.. by a simple tackling with his foot. ;-)
This is how I perceive it. Elegant in smiling simplicity.
