About Geckos are small to average sized lizards belonging to the family Gekkonidae, found in warm climates throughout the world. Geckos are unique among lizards in their vocalizations, making chirping sounds in social interactions with other geckos. An estimated 2,000 different species of geckos exist worldwide, with many likely yet to be discovered. The name stems from the Indonesian/Javanese word Tokek, inspired by the sound these animals make. The Malay word for gecko is cicak.

Great story, Victoria !
The best part is the cat came running into the house calling for help ;)

Brings back the memory of when a gecko got the better of my old cat by biting her lip but hanging on. The cat came running into the house calling for help!!! Took me all my time to get if off. Great shot Harry. V

I like their "paws" :p Cool shot
I was considering having one to eat all the spiders that appear at home, would be great (and mosquitos too!); but I'm afraid it would be the object of cat's desire... :p

Cheers,
Ania

Excellent shot Harry. We have lots of them here. Mostly the green ones. Asian ones i think they are. They ate most of the other ones and they are a pain. They get into electronics and crap everywhere. Stuffs those things. Good at eating spiders but there is green snakes hiding in the guttering waiting for them lol. Unfortunatly the snakes have got the green frogs as well :(
