About
our destination.. as can be seen here two narrow gaps in between the ranges provide a horizontal waterfall... ish via the incoming tide rushing through.. apparently 45mtrs deep and ten thousand times the amount of water in Sydney Harbour (however much that is) rushes through these tiny canyons.. providing the visitor with the thrill of a lifetime... not.. kekeke I don’t call a vertical drop of 1.5mtrs very big... as I said to the boat driver who had thrown his craft around in order to impress us with the volume and speed of the water.. which was mostly obtained by throwing the boat around.. when he asked how was that I said .. not as good as the Franklin (river) (which I have never rafted BTW) but in any event given me lil bro has and his stories of the river are pretty fantastic.. I would say that the Horizontal Falls are quite meek... Certainly by comparison to every river I have kayaked down (Williams, Kangaroo, Shoalhaven and Macquarie)the falls were singularly unimpressive... the flight however was worth every cent and the BBQd Barramundi for lunch was superb.. so it goes.. It was a ripper day
