Hey Riny,
Thanks a lot for the tip... but the legging it too was a reference to the previous post and not that I was running alongside the dog... yes, I know I've got a weird sense of humor.... I actually did pan in this shot although the background isn't that blurry as I would've liked it to be... ;-D Have a great week.

Personally I like it the way you have posted it my dear Petal. You have retained good focus on the head and much of the body with the legs going into a very acceptable amount of blur to suggest the speed that the dog was travelling. Great tones sweetie and excellent details in the dog's fur. Well done to you my lovely friend. Oh, go on then, grab another big HUUUUUUUUUUUG and some more best wishes......R2 X

There is another technique for obtaining sharp images of moving subjects Petal – one which can be used with relatively slow shutter speeds. It is called ‘camera panning’. All you have to do is move the camera to follow the subject!Doegggg,riny
