Hi, John, you are absolutely right about the horizon! It took me a while to notice it, and sometimes I do focus too much on the object to mind the horizon... ;-) Which I obviously regret later... I don't have to think about it, I just don't know any way of correcting it! Perhaps you have a suggestion?... As you know, your honest opinions are highly appreciated here.... :)

I love this new UF feature of random images on the right. This one really caught my eye - it's brilliant, except for one thing (which I'm sure has already been commented on): the sloping horizon. Sometimes it doesn't matter; sometimes it's part of the image. But here I believe it needs to be corrected since it is distracting.
Actually, correcting this is not straightforward, since a simple rotation could result in the two girls leaning to one side. Well, I leave it to you to think about...
Once again, I sincerely hope you don't mind my honest opinion...
John

Beautiful scene. I like your observation....always very touching.
Z wielkim zainteresownaiem bede obserwowal Twoje wspaniale prace....Serdecznie pozdrawiam, Rafal

I like the portrait, but their faces are partly covered in shadow. Perhaps using a fill flash would help.

very good expression, and light. I know this sun condition, it is very difficult to take good photo..You did very good job. Thank you for your visit.

You had difficult lighting here, the shadow suggest the sun was high in the sky. I had a similar problem with one of my shots - I positioned the subject into the sun, so as to have enough light for the particular lens I was using. The result was a bit unfortunate, the boy was squinting because of the sun, one side of his face was brightly lit, and the other side was completely in shadow. I see more or less the same thing here.
Compositionally, I like their placement in the picture. Possibly it would have been better to have the entire shadow of the woman in the picture, and to have a bit more room at the top. What I see as more of a problem is the strong tilt of the horizon.
I like the poses of the subjects. Their poses are natural, and the image conveys a feeling of the closeness and love that is between them. They stand together against anything that may come in their way. You have written that it was not a fun day for them, selling ornaments in the heat; yet the impression I get is that the woman is proud, proud of herself and her daughter, proud of the fact that in spite of the difficult circumstances, she is able to get on with life in a dignified manner. The expression of the child suggest that she does not let any shortcomings in life bring her down, and that she is easily able to find joy in such simple things as being photographed by a foreigner.
