HI Markus,
I agree with Riny,I like version 2 better as well.It is not always easy to get the colors as they were with bad light or too much sunshine!But it's a great macro shot with wonderful details!!I alaways like butterfly shots!!!

Much better ...There is a superb macro lens from Canon that fits Canon 40D, serie and this lens is the EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM and I love it!! Especially for butterfly garden macro photography this lens, in my opinion, is the best you can get in the Canon series. It is very light...Keep in mind Markus that high Iso is not a good thing..have a plesant day,riny

Mmmmm,agree with Petal,could be much better,Quick Tip, During the middle of the day the sun is often too harsh and can wash out the colors in your photograph. When the sun is low in the sky it gives a soft glow to your photos that is very pleasing.

Thanks, Petal. It wasn't really that bad for him, because I was at least 1 1/2 meters away with my 300 mm. The color probably looks a bit red because it was taken against our pond with a bit of hazy light. So the green is missing and the whole image turns into red. But I didn't manipulate the colors, just the levels.

That's also the sight this poor little butterfly had with you and your big camera hovering above him... LMAO!!
Fine close-up of this little guy, great details, bright colors (maybe a tad less on the red next time... ;-D) and good POV... well captured!!
