On the contrary, regarding "average" if I may say so...

Hi Anthony
I'm flattered by your comments, however, I just regard myself as an average photographer, with a lot to learn. :)
Thanks, again!
Cheers
Phil

Now I see others' comments, I absolutely promise I didn't see the earlier comments on your photo - such was the instant power of your work here Phillip. You have a natural, inner feeling. I am pleased to number you among my mentors.

Phillip - this is reminiscent of a Flemish painting of the Middle Ages. I love what you did here.

Hey, Riny!
We were so fortunate to have been there during this period. Apparently, it had been 10 years since the canals were frozen over like this. Everywhere we went the canals were frozen, and there the skaters were out in force, complete with picnic tables, food, and drinks! It was a great experience for us Aussies to witness!
You live in a fantastic country. The people are so friendly, the scenery is stunning, and the infrastructure is astounding. I can't wait to come back next April, to capture the tulip fields. :)
Cheers

Maybe that explains why the Dutch love to skate outdoors. They hardly ever get the chance!

Wow, this is beautiful, Phil. A bit different to when we were there last year. Looks cold, though. Too cold for this little black duck!!!:)
