Love it Dave, so fragile are they. Your photo reminds me of Robert Frost's poem, from which an extract for anyone interested:

"When I see birches bend to left and right Across the lines of straighter darker trees, I like to think some boy's been swinging them. But swinging doesn't bend them down to stay As ice storms do".

This last Winter's ice storms in New England massacred birches (and almost every other kind of tree) which Robert Frost clearly witnessed in his day.

Hi Dave,
You got the tones of the white bark nicely on these trees. I think a lot of people make the mistake of making them too bright. They look much more natural like this.
