thanks so much for your words and explanations Anthony, very informative about sepia tone, well it was a rainy day and I wanted a "gothic" mood that matched well with Trinity Church my very best....txules

As to the sepia treatment, I disagree Dan. Certainly, for the Romanesque revival church in the foreground (which I think is hideous as a piece of architecture) but then, any treatment of that chocolate cake building might be apt.
No, the Cock Tower is modern, clean, razorblade glass and steel of acuteness.

Anthony

The John Hancock Tower - tallest building in new England, and a very fine one too. Its plan is a parallelogram and when viewed on its face appears shockingly two-dimensional against the sky. A beautifully "clean", minimalist piece of modern architecture by I.M Pei.
A great shot of it you made here txules.
For those who might be interested, Trinity Church in the foreground is reflected very nicely by the Tower's windows when seen from ground level in Copley Square. The tower's plate windows regularly popped and crashed to the ground shortly after it was completed, and it took a lot of money to correct this defect.
Here's a different aspect of it. I think it illustrates the Disneyesque versus the real, IMHO haha!
