Excellent. The expression on the veteran's face conveys so much emotion. The statue's eyes seem to be looking at the veteran, speaking to him from years past.

Shane, I'm a veteran myself.[Not of the D-Day era],and this is one of the most powerful images of this ilk that I have ever seen. You were incredibly lucky to get these two GIs together. The man in bronze on the left actually looks as though he is speaking to his comrad. I think DOF is perfect. This is a favorite of mine. I'm not a "Rah Rah" type patriot, but this is an a fine image
