Thanks Keith, this is my life line. We are the connection between old and young. He wanted to help do some plaster on the house with me yesterday. Had a trowel his size and I was showing him the tricks. A real quick study. Be well, Stan

Thanks Nick, I did not want to dodge the face and lose even more sharpness on the real fireman. Glad you saw why I am so stuck on my little fireman. Be well, Stan

But it still worked well, Stan. The collateral conflicts (;-)) make it also look real, despite the lower clarity of the real fireman's face. I guess that this is more important when going to catch the fun of that moment.
Cheers!

Yes Harry, I am a very blessed man too have such a close relationship with such a beautiful boy. He is tender and yet all boy when it comes to things like this. He helped me plaster a wall yesterday with a small trowel, and learns so fast. Be well, Stan

Thanks Jacques, Kaden loves all thing related to fire trucks. He was so thrilled to get to be in the middle of everything that day. The firemen are some great men and women that work and volunteer here. Kaden is a blessing to share things like this with. Be well, Stan

Thanks Nick, was going for a spontaneous look of the two enjoying it together. The sun was camera left and could not really capture both in the light because Kaden was blocking the real firemans face from the sun. Collateral conflicts of outside work. be well, Stan

Such a great Moment to catch, Stan, and I must say that your timing speaks! Not only for the fun of the small firemen there, but also for the subtle smile on the face of the big one. Some loss of contrast in the shadows (I have the impression) turned the face of the big one a bit softer, but I don't see that as a big trouble.
The exposure worked like a charm for allowing the captured details of the good focus to be preserved almost everywhere in your DoF. And I find it a good choise to keep the two of them only in strict focus and to give less importance to the background, since they are the main actors here.
A very well shot image!

Yes Dave, it was fun to see the kids turn on the hose and get pushed backwards. The fireman was close by to help calm the hose down for them. Kaden told the firemen that he wanted to work there when he was big. He has always loved diesel fumes and big equipment. be well, Stan

Thanks Rashed, I like the b/w to eliminate confusing b/g. My grandson was absolutely thrilled to see what the hose could do. A great day helping to support the local volunteers that keep us safe. We were putting money into fire boots for their new building. Big breakfast and great time for the kids. Be well, Stan

Hello my Real Girl!! Kaden and I had a great time with some of my friends that are volunteer fireman for this fire house. He was running between rides on the fire trucks and using the hose to knock over traffic cones with the spray. Big pancake breakfast to raise funds for the station they had built. We have many volunteer fire stations in Montana. Not enough tax base to do otherwise. With out these volunteers we would have little access to paramedics and rural fire protection. A very unselfish group of men and women!! Be well, GG

You are doing a great job with B/W format, this is another great addition to this series and again the image is very well balanced exposure wise and of very great contrast and tone.
Wishing you all of the best my friend.
