Great shot Harry, I love the exposure control here, very stunning control. I am sure it will not do so well in the next few months though ;-)

Marahib boss, friend, teacher, duktoor an student Saad.
I should have known I was not able to mislead a man as sharp as a fox. The washingtonia was on display at greenhouse I visited in may/june 2006 . The wheather was so nice they put the tree on display outside.
The greenhouse has a website http://www.boereboom.nl/site2.php and produce mainly local plants. They use lizards and snakes to combat mice and insects. The heated greenhouse has a size of 6500 m2.
Date-palmtrees I have also seen in Al Majmaah in KSA 1982. The farmer had a well and grew grapes and had an acre of date-palmtrees. I still see the green unripe fruits hanging in the tree.
What I also learned is that I have kept dates in a warm moist environment and they started to ferment and produce something forbidden by the Holy Quoran. I will speak to them not to do so !!!!
Achlan wa sahlan sadeek, yours ....
Isme Harry

more than tree Marhaba,we call it Marahib(plural) so very beautiful, and fine, I thank you so much for the dedication, but harry, this Washingtonia, I am some how fairly informed about the plants,I used to spent my time with them, but mainly flowers you know, this one is fully grown giant,I do not think it is from the seeds you thrown in the garden, I haven't seen it from this close, isn't it amazing this palm, it produce bread, sugar, oil, more productive than any other creature on this planete, thank you again dear Harry, Saad.

As Salaam Aleykun Sinem,
Keef e halik ? The dates are from Algeria so the tree must have an Algerian look, not Turkish ;-)
