No I don't mind others suggesting changes to my shots, Marybeth - but this doesn't even look like Ariel anymore.

Your photograph really caught my eye. I had to take it and do some magic of my own on it. I hope you don't mind, it's really a compliment.

Well, sure, Jacques. This was shot on black seamless and I had my strobes turned up fairly high to prevent the paper from showing up, as I intended to comp in some branches behind her anyway.

great light, real nice model, interesting to see how those little wings comes out. I have a similar project and it gives me a nice example of what we can get. Just can't wait for your next ones Paul. Thanks for the lightning hint :)

She told me she was bringing fairie wings for the shoot, and I had already designed this setup in my mind the night before, using 3 tight spots: one on her face, one backlighting the wings and the third one gelled to cast a glow on the seamless behind her.
The next day, I went to an old cedar brake I've shot at before to get the old branches for the composite. ;)

Hey, this isn't fashion but it is great Paul. The lighting is really nice, the pose fits the overall mood of this shot and her facial expression is fantastic. Outstanding in my opinion my friend.
