Hi Jan,thank you for your very constructive comments - its nice when someone sees something i havent even thought about. I know what you mean about the snow,but didnt know how to adjust the colour. Have just downloaded photoshop, and even bought a guide book,so might fiddle about with it and see if i can improve it.

I do like your photo very much: peaceful composition and the eye can go along several lines (trees, bridge, houses).
Maybe the snow could be somewhat whiter?

Thank you again for your views Jo. I think your right - the picture looks better cropped - brings more focus on the seat and the man. Never thought to crop from the bottom! Cant wait to see your pics now that Spring is on the way.

Lovely composition Kev! Cold just looking at this! Looking forward to seeing more of your Spring shots too now that we have daffs and crociis :) Others would maybe disagree but I would perhaps have cropped just a tad at the bottom of the picture - see attached.
