I forgot to mention that you almost had Saturn in your shot. You can see from the image I attached where Saturn was at the time of your shot. MAry

Fascinating stuff Mary! I'm a Leo so caught my eye ;) Beautiful image Knut! Very tranquil and 'otherworldly'. Cheers, Jo

I looked up the time and date you gave me, using Stockholm as the location. The constellation you have in your image is Leo, the Lion. I brightened your image to bring out the stars a little and have included a picture of Leo in the attached. For a little information about Leo, you can go to http://www.windows.ucar.edu/tour/link=/the_universe/Constellations/spring/leo.html&edu=mid There are lots of other sites with more detailed information if you like. This is very striking. Your title is perfect for this tranquil image. I like that you have caught the sparkle on the snow. I am just wondering what stars/planets those are. If you are not sure, if you tell me when it was taken, I can find out. I really like this. MAry
