Oh, come one now, Andre! It is weekend, it is spring, the birds are singing, etc, etc. So, get back to that place and shoot some more images of the romanticism if steel!
Only joking, of course. But your interpretation of such "machinery" things has something very direct and sincere, Andre. So, that's why I always see such images of yours very gladly.
Cheers!

They are still there for some reason. I'm hoping they will move them out and move in some new subjects for me soon. :) Andre

What a good thing to happen, that they were still there, Andre! Strange that they remained for so long, but sometimes we also have good luck with such subjects! So it was only good that you went back! The chance would have disappeared otherwise.

Thanks for the nice review on this one Nick. I took this one about two weeks before the other recent posts. (the snow is a give away) I liked the colour of this one so much, I thought I would go back for more. Luckily, the same trains were still sitting there for some reason. Andre

Quite a good one of the train in that far place under snow, Andre. The whole series conveys much of that cargo world that keeps so very active with transporting the goods we all need, but in a "behind the scenes" manner. When I think about the fact that they work while we "sleep" and care for a perfect funtioning of distributing the goods...
Anyway, the focus was great again for capturing those great mechanical details of that technology. The DoF worked hand in hand (again) with the many layers of haze, giving it a strong 3D-look. The train itself supplements that very through the angle that you chose. Just a bit of the "other side" of the train a bit further to the left than "this side".
The exposure seems to me to be just about perfect. It neither neglects nor overemphasizes any light zone.
The recent images about the railway are also very consistent for a nice series. I imagine them in some book about the subject of transport.
Cheers!
Nick

Thanks Ken, I'm glad you like it. The birds are a bit scarce right now and I was able to sneak up on this train pretty easily. :)

Very nice image, I like the feel of this, the colors and worn working look of the flat car contrast well with the pristine winter background, nice work. 7

Thanks for the great compliment Ray! I'm kind of glad you see my images that way, even with varied subjects. I understand that to mean I've developed a recognizable style of sorts, over the years. Thanks again. Andre

Thanks Stan, I guess there will always be a "little boy" part of me that is attracted to trains. I remember spending a lot of time watching the big old locomotives go by near our house in the city. Back in the late 50's those big old smoke billowing locomotives were amazing for an 8 year old. Too bad I didn't have a camera back then. :) Andre

Great details captured here Andre and the yellow toned bodywork looks great in it's contrast to the Wintry conditions. Every time I see one of your offbeat compositions I kick myself for always doing the obvious. You take some very ordinary and get a great shot out of it. Well done to you my friend. Take care and be well. My very best wishes to you as always.......Ray
