I think he means on to something Marcio.
The dark patch suggests water which doesn't fit the title either but these are great shapes and colours.

After having seen your next one I must really re-think about that. The look of the image is perhaps not as good for a "desert" but still the look is interesting for itself, especially as a member of a series about plants under similar conditions of angle etc. You are on something, Marcio.

I think that a different lighting (light source and direction) could turn it more to the green desert woth all those dunes and textures on green siand, Marcio. Again perhaops also more DoF, a least including the foreground would be better, I think.

Nonetheless a good depiction of textures color and pattern where the light and focus were strong enought to reveal them and also a refreshing perspective.
