thank you Harry, the only thing that I could tell is that it is very old,it was its simplicity, the lack of the makeup, the child being an ordinary, and the simple dressings, all those are my clues to its age, having no other idea Harry, the halo also could give us an other clue, but I do not no the history of its origin,my best regards, Saad.

I could not find details yet about its age and origin. Colors may shift in time. But here i feel the colors of the original version did have a darker color. First impression of the Child is that I dont find it typical medieval painting > 1200 ) . I feel it must be before 1000 AD and it has an orthodox look to me. The Child looks a bit ethiopian to me but I cant place that. So what i would guess is ~300 AD and origin southward. But I am not sure, what is your analisys my dear friend ?
No, it is NOT related to the black madonna I showed earlier, this madonna is located in

beautiful shot Harry,I remember that you posted a Black Mary,it seems that this one is also related to that Black Mary,is this correct ? or may be the colors are shifted because it is old,? Saad.

Salvador,
I changed it in "Mary and Child, both are mentioned in Islam and Christianity." Is this better for you ?

Great subject and beautiful picture. Indeed, The word "items" in this context sounds disrespectful. In any case, congratulations for the image. Best wishes, Salvador

yes, they stole it from old egyptian mythology of isis and horus child...(but to call mary and jesus 'items' is a rather funny expression:))
