Buchaille Etive Mor, Glencoe, Scotland.
Although it has been photographed a milion times and will certainly be photographed a million more this is one of the clearest crispest mornings I can remember for a considerable while and the side lighting does a splendid job of revealing the mountain rock face detail of this one of Scotland's most beloved of mountains. The simple dusting of snow on both the foreground soil which conceals some unsightly blemishes, the azure blue sky and icing sugar crust on the peak all serve to give this scene that little extra prominence for the classic shot.
