Many thanks for your very encouraging and generous comments Brigitte...I always carry/use filters for sunrises and sunsets to stop overexposing the image...At first I used Cokin Grad 4's and Grad 8's but now use Lee 2 stops and Lee three stops....I just bought a Hoya NDX 400 (9 stop)which should produce some interesting results...hope that answers your question

Just have to add that this is an amazing shot like everyone else has said and it too will go into my favs... think that UF must've missed this one otherwise I'm sure it would have rec'd an award also. I do love your work, Nick!! Keep doing what you're doing... it's great! Did you use any filters? 7++++++++
