Saad,
No, winter in recent years is usually limited to a week frost at -5 and some snof for a week. In my youth winters were more harsh, -20 degrees and snow 1-2 meters high in a storm.
But Canada has even more severe winters -30 to -40 degrees :)

Dear Harry,today I have spent Three hours with a friend who spent four years in Holland,from what he says I have understand there are no Taxis in the streets,I mean the yellow ones,and he says if you want to ride a taxi you have to phone for it,except at airport and railway stations ,he said.
this is Canada's winter,did it becomes like this in Holland ?
