Such a very stark feel to this, almost like a doorway to another galaxy.

Ah my dear friend. Would I resort to tactics such as low to deceive a dear friend? It is the Christmas season mate.I was simply trying to lend a helping hand. -O

yeah thanks Gary.. the lab I used was the one I have been using for yonks and whilst only a minilab they used to be about 80% clear on the negs tho nothing compared to say a Nu Lab or Vision Graphics style of job they produce perfect negatives.. but I lay the blame at the films feet as it was atad old and had only been stored in the fridge... I do have to say tho that I was obviously not concerned with the crap all over the film

I think there's a problem with the lab, I shoot a bit of outdated film and it doen't have all those spots, usually it's ok but sometimes has a bit of fog and lowish contrast.
Anyway when you've finished that film you can send the hasselblad to me !

Has all the bleakness and desolation that I'm sure you intended. The blemishes are interesting. I've never found this with out of date film and I've used a fair bit of it, mono especially seems to last for years, but I have found it with minilab processing and it's one of the reasons I usually shoot with digital nowadays. Regards, Gary

yeah Don thats the story the film was about four years out of date so.. well hang on I presume its the film that has caused the specks either that or the service at the local mini lab has gone down the toilet.. and I have to say I rarely shoot and process film these days so I hope it wasnt them hehe. They announced they were closing this christmas and so its a bit of a race to see if I can shoot my remaining films from the feezer before they close!!

I like the whole package mate from the door to the speckles. The Twilight Zone would have used it in a minute. A figure in the doorway would be killer. For some reason I don't think I have seen the last of this image. -O

are the specks on the image related to the age of the film/ makes for some interesting artifacts that are appropriate for the image. the starkness of the image is compelling by itself.
